Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

own

Obstacles. Hurdles. Barriers. Roadblocks.

These are all common sights along the road to achievement. If you have ever worked towards a goal that most people would label as “unrealistic”, then you have undoubtedly faced one challenge after another. In fact, when you reach the point where you feel like giving up, that is usually when things get even tougher.

Believe it or not, these external obstacles are actually the easy part. They are obvious. We can examine them and devise a plan to work through them or around them. For example, if you want to start a business but lack the funding, there are a variety of tangible action steps you can take to resolve your funding issues.

The real barriers to success are the internal roadblocks. This is where it gets difficult. This is where you battle your own self-doubts, worries, and feelings of unworthiness.

You may have the best work ethic in the world. You may have the strictest discipline and self-control. But if your mind is listing all of the reasons why you shouldn’t have what you truly want, you are fighting a losing battle.

For many of us, these negative tapes have been playing the same disempowering messages in our minds for years. Continue reading →

Positive Power

positive

We live in a world where we often feel out of control. We stress about news stories that we can’t change, relationships we can’t salvage and other more personal issues as well.

There is one thing we CAN control through ‐ how we think. We have full control over how we react to the trials and tribulations of our life. We can view every setback as another failure piling up, or we can view our setbacks as lessons on the way to success.

If you are interested in learning how to think positively, then check out the 7 critical steps in this guide.

In all honesty, successful people have often cut out everything but reaching their business/monetary goals for a time, but later included other areas like a social life and family so that they could live full, satisfying lives.

In next articles, I will show you seven critical steps to being successful, not just with making money but with your life. Many of the qualities you need to be financially successful are the same ones you need to live a more fulfilling life. Continue reading →

Millionaire Rule #10 – Solve A Problem

solve problem

Becoming a millionaire is a process. You may not like every part of the process, but the parts you do love, can’t be beaten. You might enjoy motivating people or seeing yourself do amazing things with abilities you didn’t know you had. If you are young, and in your twenties, don’t be afraid to try all sorts of things. Figure out what you are good at in your thirties and maximize that in your forties.

You can become a millionaire at any age. Regardless of where you are in life, always over deliver in whatever you do. Go above and beyond the call of duty. Work smart and realize that success in a small task can lead to success in much bigger areas of your life. Your efforts will lead to recognition and a huge payoff in the long run.

Get in the habit of asking yourself if what you are about to do will advance your cause in becoming a millionaire? If it won’t, then learn to say, ”No.” Spend time with quality people and do not tolerate mediocrity. Take charge of your time and effort. The secret to enduring success is winning over time.

Learn how to spot opportunities in your everyday life. When the world seems to be in crisis mode, businesses, as well as people, are in turmoil, and it is only human to want someone or something to make things right. Continue reading →

Millionaire Rule # 6: Learn How To De-Stress

stress

We all know that exercise, of any kind, is one of the best ways to de-stress the body. Well, you need a way to get to the gym, park or wherever you can exercise. At the age of 13, Dominic McVey started importing scooters from the U.S. to the UK since they were less expensive than what was available where he lived in London (given the dollar to pound ratio). He started selling them locally and was a millionaire by the time he was fifteen. One day, Dominic was googling “Visa” and ended up in a partnership with Visa and is now worth over $10 million.

Life and work can be stressful and it is important to find an outlet to de-stress. Yoga and guided meditations are an excellent way to let go of the day and become a human being – instead of a human doing. Between kids, work, spouses, finances, schedules, our own health and life in a modern world are all sources of stress. Continue reading →

Purpose = Freedom

purpose is freedom
It’s fair to say that if you don’t know your purpose in
life, you won’t be spending much time working on it. So
what will you end up doing with your working time instead?
Three things: 1) Working on your needs, 2) Working on other
people needs, 3) Working on other people’s purposes.
If you don’t know your purpose, the limit of the work you do
for yourself will be stuck at the level of need, which at
best has the potential to grow into greed. Not particularly
fulfilling spending your whole working life this way… Try it
yourself for a few decades if you don’t believe me, and then
look at the passionless shell that stares back at you from
your mirror.
As you work with/for other people, most likely you’ll be
putting lots of effort into satisfying other people’s needs
and greeds: your boss, your customers, your company’s
investors, etc. Even in your free time, you’ll be working to
fulfill the desires of advertisers who want you to watch TV
and buy stuff. Again, not particularly satisfying, although
you may be thrown a few bones by your benefactors, such as
the “gift” of working on some interesting projects. This
kind of life will ultimately make you want to stand up and
shout, “What exactly is the point of all of this?” But if
you actually do that, you’ll only get blank stares in
return. There is no point.
Now if you’re very lucky, you may get the chance to work for
someone or some organization which is itself focused on
achieving a conscious purpose. However, there’s no telling
what that purpose might be. If you don’t know your own
purpose, you can’t consciously choose to work for someone
whose purpose aligns with yours except by accident or
chance, and the odds of alignment are low. So there’s a good
chance you’ll be working hard to achieve a purpose you don’t
agree with. For example, if you join the military, you may
be put to use to achieve some big purpose, but what exactly
will it be? Most likely, in such situations, you’ll be given
a purpose to achieve that isn’t what you’d choose
consciously for yourself. Fulfilling to spend your whole
life this way? Not likely, but it’s at least a decent path
for people who don’t like to think much — others will take
care of all the thinking for you (and benefit greatly from
all your thoughtless doing).

The Wealthy Mindset – How Your Thoughts Affect Your Financial Future

wealthy mindset

Surely you’ve heard the saying that when you
believe in yourself, you can do anything. It’s a
piece of advice that gets passed around for a
reason – because it’s 100% true! It especially
applies to having a wealthy mindset. It doesn’t
matter where you’re starting from; with the right
steps, the sky really is the limit.

Believing In Yourself

Believing In Yourself

The first step is to truly believe that you can
accomplish anything when you set your mind to it.
You can prove to yourself that you believe you can
become wealthy by taking it seriously and making
concrete plans.

Financially, where are you right now and where do
you want to be? It doesn’t matter how far you need
to travel, you just need to set out plans right
now.

The next thing you need to work on is the “how” of
it all. What actions will you take in order to
achieve the wealth you desire?

When you write these plans down, you’ll be holding
something concrete that you can believe. It’s a
promise you’re making yourself for the future. You
can refer to your plans often as you begin to use
your wealthy mindset to take swift action.  Continue reading →

Intentions are Your Way of Reaching Your Goals

intentions

The concept of intentions refers to what one is actively planning to do when they set forth their goals. This is how you plan to make the goals that you have created, the things that you have imagined, come to pass. If you say that your intention is to take a vacation next month, then you have started down the road to making that happen by stating it in a way that has a meaning.

You may or may not be aware of your intentions when you get out of bed in the morning, but you have them nonetheless. When you are aware of them, then they are deliberate intentions. If you are not, then they are casual intentions. Casual intentions are sort of like having your intentions on autopilot. If they come to pass, then they do, but if not, then you may find yourself not getting the results that you want.

In the context that we are talking about, the context of deliberate intentions, you make the conscious effort to put forth a time and work in order to fulfill the results that you want to have. An example of this is to get out of bed and immediately put forth the thought pattern of making the goals that you have set become reality. This is a deliberate intention. In this case, you are making the choice to put forth the effort that you have to put forth to make it happen. That is what makes this a deliberate intention versus a casual intention. Your Beliefs Create Your Experiences

Firewalking on Charcoal

Firewalking is one of the most intense rituals one can partake in. It is often a part of weekend self-exploration courses and usually involves walking a 30-foot long path of hot chalk that is heated to over 190 degrees. Most people know immediately by putting their hand over the chalk that this is a bad idea, that by stepping on this path you will, without a doubt, burn your feet and be in excruciating misery.

Conductors of such rituals often tell their participants that they should visualize themselves walking naked across the fire path and see themselves eliminating any obstacles that get in their way. Continue reading →

The Power of Imagination

imagination

Did you know that you have a magic power? Imagination is the most powerful tool that you have in your toolkit when it comes to getting the life that you want. Your imagination is a powerful part of your consciousness. It allows you to transform your life in ways that you could never imagine. If you are feeling down, then you could imagine sitting in a lush, grassy field in the middle of spring with the warm wind brushing your skin and the sun shining down on your face. This could be just the thing that you need to lighten your mood. You can imagine anything that you want, and in your mind, you can make it real.

This is key to putting your positive thoughts into action toward manifesting the life that you want.

So how can your imagination help you to manifest the life that you want? Your imagination can help you to create new products, start a business, think up strategies, and most of all, create the goals and desires that you want to have fulfilled to have the life that you want. Of course, the best thing about your imagination is that once you have imagined something, it becomes a part of your memory. The combination of your memory and your imagination can be wondrous. Together, these two parts of your consciousness can work to create a virtual world that has no rules, no boundaries, and no restrictions.

Once you have granted yourself full access to this world, you can start to build your new life there, and then move the things that you want to the real world as you go through the steps needed to make them happen.

You can also use your imagination to help you remember the things that you normally would not be able to remember. There is something magical about imagining something that helps to ingrain it into your memory in an indelible way. Let’s take a moment to look at an example. For now, just read what is here. We will work with it more in a bit: Continue reading →
